After climbing Cathedral Peak on Saturday with Charile, we decided to climb the North Arete of Crystal Crag on Sunday. An easy approach and a small 4 pitch climb make this a fun, short day. It's a cool peak with a great location. The "crystal pitch" is interesting...the rock looks like a white crystal-quartz, is very soft, and fractures easily. There is plenty of loose rock so be careful. Somehow, I managed to go too far right on the 2nd pitch and made the climb a bit harder than its 5.7 rating.
