North Face of Gloster Peak (5952m)

North Face of Gloster Peak (5952m)

The unclimbed North face Gloster Peak (5952) east of Haigutum East and West of P 6243 on the south side of the Hispar Glacier. The peak was first climbed from the south side by a Gloucester army expedition in 1959. It's very rare to see skies this blue in the Karakoram and only possible after rain has removed the dust particles from the air.

Isn't Gloster to the left of HE, looking from the north? HE is out of pic to the right, no ?

Re: Left ?

Damn, you've got me again! I need to write an 'L' and an 'R' on the back of my hands next time I visit Hispar. I uploaded a lot of these Haigutum photos very quickly in an internet cafe one day and think I made a few errors along the way with the descriptions.
