North ridge of Powell

Looking north along Mount Powells broad gentle north ridge. It looks pretty white when viewed from this angle, but in reality there were so many rocks sticking up that skiing was either painful or impossible. I had to walk the final 2 miles to the summit. March-8-2012

Poem for Zee ..

While walking the north ridge of Powell ..

The nearly complete lack of snow made me HOWL.

I stuck to my plan, 'cause success was at hand ...

the High Uintas are NOTHING but WOW !!!
