Out for a trail run
Took a tour de North Table starting at the east side while the kids walked the dogs. Summitted mighty Lichen Peak en route. Sport routes look fun- will have to try them sometime.

Icy Hike up North Table
It has been snowing along the Front Range the past couple of weeks but we were stir crazy and needed to get out. We parked at the north trailhead and hiked up to Lichen Peak and then looped back to the car. It was quite slick. Beautiful day, though. Clear views all the way south to Pikes Peak.

Ran up solo and around at sunset and in the dark
Tagged the summit, then did the sea cliffs and headed over to cottonwood canyon,. Came up to the mesa top just as it got dark. Ran back in the dark, all while listening to shoe dog.
Trail ran the loop and tagged "Lichen Peak" on the way out. Brutally hot day.
Have practiced on: Lemon's, Lime's & Tang and Killian's Dead. Runout but good rock.
Multiple trips trail running through the years.

North Table Mountain
I fulfilled a life-long ambition to hike up North Table Mountain during a visit to Denver in March 2014. I'd done South Table Mountain several times during the early-mid 1970s while living in Golden but never managed North Table Mountain. I haven't lived in Colorado since October 1982 but I treasure every trip back. I spent the two previous weekends (mid June 2016) in Denver and while I didn't get to Golden I was able to photograph the area out of the airliner windows...how GREEN the area currently is...it's beautiful from the air.

North Table
Late morning and afternoon, I hiked up North Table Mountain near Golden. I went up the Golden Cliffs Trail, to the North Table Loop, along the Tilting Mesa Trail and then climbed Lichen Peak. After that I followed the Tilting Mesa Trail to the Rim Rock Trail and completed that loop. Since the east trail to the North Table Trail was closed, I hiked the Mesa Top Trail back to the Tilting Mesa Trail and backtracked my ascent route. I believe I covered about eight miles including a few side trips on spur trails and overlooks. It was a nice hike and luckily not a hot day.

Rock climbing
Short hike to the top. Climbed a few routes. Many of the popular routes are made slightly more difficult from the polished hand holds as a result from heavy traffic.
Extremely hot. I won't be back till the fall or winter.

Short Greasy Crag
The two things that are nice about this are the southerly exposure and the bolts. Otherwise it is wierd, slopey, greasy climbing with rattlesnakes. The mesa top in a new open space and cool trail running area if Green Mountain gets old.
