Perfect with snow

With snow this is the way to go, no loose rock and no private property owners to deal with. For us the snow was continuous from almost the second gate all the way to the summit. The steep snow in the couloir at the top is a good 50 degrees and we were glad it was there. Snow free this would be loose and dangerous but with snow and the right skills/equipment the route is the perfect way to bypass the private property and legally ascent Wilson Peak

Also

If you look at the route map on this page, one can also take this scree gulley more to the east into a notch that is exactly where the "E" is on the word face. this is a class three notch. Once the top of the notch is reached you must go through the opening to the other side (south) and turn right with a short very exposed class 4 move to gain the eastern spine of the summit. Once the spine is reached it is clear sailing to the summit! this is a fun alternative and I think it is better suited for no snow conditions because of that one move to gain the spine.
