my favorite mountains
I live close to San Juans and this is my favorite range. I did hike numerous trails and peaks here, many overnights, ski trips and ice climbs.

Pentitente Canyon
This area has some nice trad routes - easily accessible from Hwy 285, on the eastern edge of the San Juans. Great day trip from the Sangres, or make a week of it - you choose!
