igneouscarlCneifion Arete  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Oct 17, 2008

Have been up Glyder Fawr many times, often as part of a long ridge walk. Latest occasion was as a mountaineering route with my Dad. Climbed the Sub Cneifion rib, onto the Cneifion Arete and finally up the Gribbin ridge. Excellent.

mountainmanmarkAlways again  Sucess!

In the three years living in North Wales and the subsequent returns to olde haunts, I have lost count the number of times I have summited this one, yet there is always another combination of the routes up to inspire. My favourite possibly is the Cneifion ArĂȘte. Be prepared for every type of weather imaginable and I have even been taken clean off my feet in the wind.

Andy_HornungVarious routes

between 1983 and present day including as part of the welsh 3000s walk, via sub-Cneifon Arete and Gribin Ridge, via Devils Kitchen etc etc... Probably the most enetrtaining rout is from Llanberis side via Bryants Gulley and Esgair Felen. The gully is a great scramble, fun when a bit wet, and the rock scenery in the upper part is amazing.

JackCarrA few times  Sucess!

First time From Lyn Idwal up the 'Idwal Staircase' recently. Usually included in a traverse with Tryfan/Glyder Fach via Bristly Ridge, the best route in the Glyders!

DrJonnieThe rock climbing way  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Jun 8, 1999

With Colin & Ken, from Ogwen Cottage to Llyn Idwal then up Hope, one of the trinity on the Slabs to Holly Tree Wall. Then up Javalin Buttress to the continuation wall. Up the Arete to the bottom of the upper cliffs of Glyder Fawr and then a scambling line up the left hand side of the crag where several moderately graded lines were found and continued up the ridge above to the summit.
