What? No votes?C'mon folks, this is an excellent composition.
The colors of truck are what make this one special. The mountains in the western Utah desert have a lot of these relics of the past sitting as lonely reminders of others who tried to explore or visit an area few others have ever been to. Pic of the day

Almost surrealisticI try to vision the reason why that is out there. I'm sure it could tell a great story.
Maybe we could start an album of shots like this.

Re: Almost surrealisticActually Old vehicles make the best High Dynamic Range pictures. I think I already have a dozen pics of old cars. Thanks again

it makes me wonderThere had to be a time when someone said, "Ok, lets leave the truck and get out of here" I wonder what the circumstances were?

Re: it makes me wonderI always wonder as well. It'd be a heck of a walk and you'd have to have enough water...

Sorry, I was watchinga football game. My brother (in Grantsville)
has always been a lover of old trucks.
This is a great photo, but you have to wonder ... did it have an automatic or a clutch ???

Re: Sorry, I was watchingProbably a full fledged Hydramatic with turbobooster and full disc brakes. Say, could this have been YOUR truck Larry?

Re: Sorry, I was watchingHa, ha, ... I always blamed my younger brother for everything when I was growing up
in Utah, so it must have been HIS truck.
It looks like it could use a paint job at
Maaco!!! :)))
