Easter Island

You made a detour on the way up!

Re: Easter Island

There is a big boulder on Mount Wilson, AZ's ridge route that literally looks like an Easter Island figure!

Here, there were other really neat jagged spots along the ridge. Ridge was very scenic and steep. About half way up it though we hiked down into the shallow gully that had better footing and that took us directly to the summit.
What I would really like to know is if that gully has any technical dryfalls lower down. If not, that would be the quickest way down the mountain on surprisingly solid footing in most spots.

I think

I see a face on this rock. Am I imagining things, or are those eyes and nose? I'm talking about the rock's profile, as if you were pushing in the mouth of the face.
People may have taken some liberty with the rock, or it could be all in my mind.

Re: I think

Yes, now that you mentioned I do see a face. It is all natural though. It is a very remote area. Cheers.
