On the second stage of the Ptarmigan Traverse, climbers approach the Middle Cascade Glacier. We'll ascend the glacier to the col between Spider Mountain and the E ridge of Mount Formidable. (The ridge is in the background; the col is hidden to the left.) Early August, 1991

crws	This passage is incredible
Hasn't voted	We were socked in for the ascent but for one break in the clouds where we could see the col. Once through it, the east side to Yang Yang was clear.
