The end of the route on Creag Meagaidh late 80`s. John shaking the snow out of his collar and Hal. coming through the cornice. The weather was developing nicely into a Scottish white out! A few years later Hal fell victim to cancer. He was a good climber and a hell of a nice bloke!

Great and memorable photo

Sorry about Hal. I lost my best friend, and main climbing partner to cancer. He was the best.

Thanks for posting

Thanks for posting these Charles, I've added one of them to the Grampian Mountains page. Looks bloody cold up there!

Re: Thanks for posting

My pleasure. Yes it had it´s moments. I also remember the walk out, stopping off for mega fish and chips and me driving all the way back to Merseyside and nearly falling asleep behind the wheel. Great days!
Cheers
