Open Door Mountain from near the Trailhead

Seen from Granite Creek Road. The summit is not visible. From here it is easy to see the way up and through the only break in the cliffs guarding the mountain's southern and eastern sides. Study the view well so that you know about where to leave the trail once you are on it. If you click on the image and then enlarge it, you can see the trailhead clearly. There are four vehicles there; the one by itself on the left is by the start of the trail you use to access the peak. Gros Ventre Range, Wyoming-- July 2014
