Original BCS Monument on Waring Peak
The original 1947 monument placed on behalf of the (provincial) British Columbia Control Survey at the time of the first ascent of Waring Peak by Alfred Slocomb's survey party.
Rather worn after over 60 years exposure to the elements, the monument can be found in the summit cairn of this rarely visited peak.
