Orizaba and the Jamapa Glacier

We climbed this awesome peak on December 14, 2007. The two of us spent a day at the hut acclimatizing and then made our bid for the peak at 2:00 am. The ice was perfect, the morning was clear, and the stars were shining. We were pumped! We followed the usual path up the old aqueduct until the turn for the Labyrinth. At this point we decided to skip the Labyrinth and shoot strait for the glacier. Wow! steep sections and bullet proof ice but sweet climbing. We peaked at about 9:30.
