Our Marmot Alpinist tent was erected on a flat area some 25m below the ridge on the other side of the saddle. Very sheltered from the wind.

Oh yes, love my tent!! And she got a good wash upon my return. The erupting vulcano Tungurahua nearby is spreading out fine vulcanic ashes over on Chimbo so your gear can get really dirty :-)
