Waterproof Map Case

After my disapointment with the Outdoor Designs Watertight Map Case I was in the market for a new model. Kindly my girlfriend bought me this one for my birthday (not my main present, I'm not that sad and she's not that mean), and although I wondered why a map case needed to state that it was waterproof, I felt pleased with the look and feel of my new item. It was tough, sturdy, and did look genuinly waterproof, which it proved itself to be on a stormy October day on Snowdon.
Unfortunately when I came to remove my map I ended up ripping the seal on the top of the case, the Velcro holding the opening together proving stronger than the plastic the case was made out of. Gradually the rip got bigger, until it eventualy fell off, completely compromising the waterproofness of the case.
