While backpacking in Theodore Roosevelt NP, we awoke to this morning view of Painted Canyon. The badlands, grassy ridges, and juniper forests on the north sides of slopes are typical of the area. May 2010. Enlarge to get a sense of the space; this pano doesn't translate well to the smaller frame.
