lit by the rising Sun against the silouette of Wildcat Ridge. 6/9/08 Of the two species of white-flowered evening-primroses of the Wasatch foothills, Oenothera pallida is a less showy one, with smaller flowers, scrub-like red stems, and small, tuft-less leaves. It also begins to bloom later than the large-flowered O. caespitosa, but keeps blooming through the summer.
