Palouse Falls, Cliff View

Palouse Falls, Cliff View

Spring run-off at Palouse Falls with the water dropping over 180’ into the basalt lined plunge pool. The Palouse Canyon here, nearly 400’ deep, is part of the channeled scablands created by the great Missoula Floods that swept periodically across eastern Washington and across the Columbia River Plateau during the Pleistocene epoch. I've posted a video of the falls on YouTube at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=31WKGGvu0FI
