Panorama from the false summit on the Gfallwand WNW ridge

On the right, nearby, is the true summit of the Gfallwand (3175m). It's going to take a bit of scrambling to get to the snow further along on the ridge, but from then on it will turn out to be easy. On the left are many of the highest summits of the Texel Group, as well as a couple more distant ones on the main ridge of the Ötztal Alps: Roteck (3337m), Trübwand (3264m), Hochwilde (3482m), Liebenerspitze (3399m), Hohe Weiße (3278m) and Lodner (3228m). 16 July 2013.
