At the end of the south ridge lies the central summit, and it's easy to see why it might be mistaken for the true summit. However, the northwest summit, a bit further to the left, is higher. You can traverse the snow slopes left of the central summit, or scramble over the central one, in both cases to the saddle left of the central summit. From there follow the northeast ridge. I just came from there, and had opted for the traverse. 23 May 2011.
