Rambert

Rambert was a very special lady. I wish I had hiked with her.

Thanks Bob. She was a well-known Southern Caifornia Sierra Club leader in her fifties who had a gift for inspiring enthusiasm for the outdoors and who was never without a smile. On a snow climb of a 13,000+ foot peak in the Sierra Nevada with a close friend in May 2006, the two decided to turn around because of the icy conditions. As her friend was scouting a safe route down, Patty somehow lost her perch and was unable to self arrest.
