Beautiful drainage and unexplored area

I so badly wanted to summit this one but our group was daytripping from Boise and ran out of time and daylight. Still, we made it up to the knob just below the peak's ridge for a stellar view of the chain of lakes below us. The going is definitely slow once you reach Leah's / Casper Lake (even getting to the far side of Leah's Lake required some Class 2 and careful steps over very angled fallen logs on the south shore) and after that it's purely cross-country with only the very occasional goat path - nothing too tough, just slow. Hope to go back sometime and summit though!

Flytrip Exit Route  Sucess!

Climbed the northwest ridge from Flytrip Basin during an excellent backpacking trip. Great summit views. Descended the southeast face into the Alpine Creek drainage. Trip Report
