Peak to the south

Peak to the south

of Fool Creek Peak. Anyone know what it's called? This range is very impressive. This was taken from the truck stop west of Scipio. March 5, 2009

Williams Peak

It is named Williams Peak, 9,236 feet. The mountain was named after John Williams Gunnison whom the nearby city of Gunnison was also named after.

The benchmark on the summit is labeled as South Scipio. This is because the benchmark on Fool Creek Peak is labeled as Scipio. Makes sense now :)

Re: Williams Peak

That is a nice pic and indeed, MG is a great resource on these peaks.
