Another great class 3 to climb from Alice
Out of state friend was in town and wanted to do her first backpacking trip with an Idaho peak. What better place for a first backpacking trip than Alice? Not too busy on the weekdays but still busy. Flat lander for Kansas' first backpacking and class 3 summit made for a fun weekend. And what a fun route! Got side tracked from the second lake by following the stream to a different unnamed third lake up and over a ridge to the right lake basin. When looking up from the second lake go up the right side boulder feild to get to the base lake. Route up from there is easy to see and super fun!

Perfect Day!
Great climb with Boisedoc from the Alpine Creek approach. Beautiful clear and crisp fall day. Fun scramble along the summit ridge with some routefinding. I would rate this class 3 based on the route we followed. Trip Report

Lightning Buzz
Great Trail run to Alice Lakes, then easy cross country to the ridge with some route finding and fun, exposed moves to the summit. My hair stood up and I heard the dreaded rock "buzz" of nearby thunderstorms. Smokey conditions from nearby forest fires, along with the storms made for interesting lighting.
