Climbing suggestion for the oncoming weekend

by morceaux » Mon Oct 16, 2006 10:49 am

Hy All!

We are planning a trip to Monte Canin / Visoki Kanin and the surrounding mountains this weekend (October 19-23). As I watch weather forecasts, it seems the weather is going to turn bad just at the time of our trip. Also on Grossvenediger, which was the alternative plan. I took a glimpse at the weather near Forno glacier, but it doesn't look like to be any better.

Where should we go? We have not too much time, so summits higher than 4000 m are out of consider now. Rather glacier climb / alpine climb than rock climbing routes. Rating max. AD.

Thanx in advance for any tips.

Thank you for the tip, but Wilder Kaiser is in Austria, where also bad weather is expected...

No idea, Morceaux. It's such a pitty, you were looking forward so long for this trip. The last weekend I was on Monte Sart / Zrd, West of Monte Kanin. It was such a great day and I was wishing it would last till you come. But it really seems it will deteriorate.

Thank you for the answer.
Anyway, we WILL go, as if I stayed at home, I would get crazy. Yes, it is a long time I have been planning this trip, and nothing would stop me. I must go. I think we will decide where to go on the way out.
