Wife, husband, boyfriend, girlfriend?

My wife hates SP almost as much as she hates another attractive woman so much as speaking to me about the weather. She has half-jokingly said that she is going to join the site to start a support group for wives of SPers.

This after giving her three children. And I cook dinner every night. Do the dishes most of the time, too. Sometimes I even get behind the wheel of the minivan.

So do you feel the scorn, too?

BearQueen like SP because of how SP has motivated me to pursue my goals and dreams in mountaineer. She also loves the support she received in her trip report she wrote in November and hopes to write and hike many more trip reports and articles as soon as she has recovered from her ongoing illness.

My wife only hates Summit Post to the extent that it seems to hate me. I have seen Chief say the same thing before but somewhere along the way, I'm pretty sure my account got hacked and it totally effed up my computer to the extent that it eventually went to the big recycling factory in the sky. So when wifey went out and bought a new laptop (with my money), she said she had no problem with me using it as long as I stayed the hell off SP. So I agreed and now check in with SP only at work or from my phone (which both seem to be much better protected than my home PC ever was).

Hate would be a little too strong, but there are times when she gets very annoyed particularly when I'm either researching extensively for an upcoming trip, or posting after the trip as the volume of time on SP goes up pretty dramatically.

But she can't hate it too much since I hear her tell people over the phone, chuckling when she does, "Oh, he's just dicking around on SummitPorn."

Well I am a wife and the only one of the 2 of us with an SP account, so I definitely don't hate it. My husband leaves any trip research up to me so he can't mind a place where I get info from to much. Though I'm rarely on it when he's here anyway since he dominates computer usage usually. But if I was on it alot when he was home I'ld be getting those wife looks since I'ld be blocking him from doing whatever he wanted to do with the computer!!

No, I get even with my quilting sites....

No, she doesn't hate it, but I'm sure she thinks it's a little weird that I spend as much time as I do on it. I just tell her it's my "Facebook"!
