We are thinking about heading into Mendel. Anyone been into the evolution region and can share photos or insights? Concerned about snow up high where there is normally bare rock esp on north aspects.

Thanks! To clarify my question, I'm interested in current conditions up high in that area. For instance, if we, say, wanted to do mendel couloir, would the 5.6 section still be covered in some snow?

Great photos! There was still a lot of snow on rock up high! I wonder how much of that has melted off in the last couple weeks of sun...And how much will be added by this little system...and the next little system....

I'd MUCH rather climb it when it's ice...But then Darwin would provide rather firm skiing
