Laurel Mountain

Hi guys

Anyone have any recent photos of this mountain? more specifically the NE face which faces Convict Lake... i wanna check out the melt-out in the NE gully. might be climbing this thing this tues, but i know mammoth area has been getting hit with a lot heat this week.

i have a photo from 8 days ago but i am hoping for something more recent. thanks!

Didn't have a camera with me this morning..but the NE Gully looked like it would be good skiing..not a lot of rock showing

No, I wasn't skiing..did that 20 years ago...just headed to work.. I check the snow conditions every day when I drive by...actually planning on climing that route when most of the snow is gone.

:) yeah, it turned out that the snowy bottleneck halfway up the route had melted out in the 10 days since i took the most recent photo. i was hoping that it wouldn't have.... anyways, Jared and i climbed it yesterday...

FABULOUSSSS!!! climb..... a 3500ft sierra classic that is overlooked as a winter climb. i have to rate it as my fav mixed route in the sierra. will post pictures soon...

Perhaps you are thinking of the pinner couloir?
