I uploaded some of my old Shasta trip videos which were shot and edited more like visual trip reports. Perhaps they could be educational and helpful in answering some questions for those who are not familiar with the mountain and what to expect while attempting climbing Shasta in certain time of the year, such as snow coverage, weather conditions and the impact of high winds--all may vary from year to year. You may notice that if the weather is perfect, the route is crowded; otherwise, there is not much traffic. Videos are sorted by month and day (not year or route).

Avalanche Gulch: April 14-15, 2007 - This video demonstrates how the weather may change during one day and/or over night (a combination of snow fall, sunshine, and crazy winds).

West Face Gully: June 9-10, 2007 - during this trip the weather was not too good but acceptable and a few made the summit.

Avalanche Gulch: June 23-24, 2007 - During this trip all conditions were absolutely perfect (not much snow coverage) but still some did not make to the summit. However, even in such perfect conditions a confused woman (not in the video or my group) got lost on the mountain that (summit) day. Fortunately, she was found the next day on the other side of the mountain.
