fisher creek snotel shows 57" still on the ground. seems like a lot... especially since i plan to start a 2 week hike n' peak bag trip along the rosebuds in 3-4 weeks. anyone been up high and have some first hand beta ?
I am currently working here in Grand Teton National Park, where it has been cold and rainy for the past 2 weeks. However, I'm sure things will turn for the better soon.

Planning on attempting Gannett the last week of July via the standard route - I had a few quick questions:
1. In 5 of the 6 trip reports I read for the time of year I would be climbing, no rope was used during the trip - Obviously if it can be avoided I would prefer not to carry in a rope.
2. Obvisously I understand weather can be unpredictible in any mountains ...

:oops: Please help: I lost a BRAND new blue 10.3 mm 60 meter Edelweiss rope at City of Rocks over Mother's Day during a family climbing trip. It was left at the base of Elephant Rock in a red rope bag! Reward offered if found!
