Have anyone tried to climb Sorapiss/Antelao in Dolomites in October? I will (might?) go there around 10-13 Oct and I am wondering about the conditions there.
I am looking for the "normal" routes up to the summits but I am uncertain if snow or ice could be a big problem. Avalance danger or problem with slippery rocks at exposed traverses?
Will have equipment suitable for Aconcagua so temperature should not be the problem, unless wind or weather wishes something else...
...or would Pelmo be a good option?
...or is the Aosta region in western Alps better in October?
