I know, the choices are limited, but I'm taking a couple friends to the Valley this weekend and am trying to think of the best places to take them. This will be about their third time climbing outside and I suspect 5.8 will be about their limit with 5.6 still plenty challenging. So I'm looking for some easy stuff just to get them on the rock. Got any favorites? One of my buddies is a competent lead-belayer, so I can set up TR anchors. Was planning on easy topropes on Saturday with an easy multi-pitch on Sunday.
Possible topropes: Churchbowl (Lieback Crack, Aunt Fanny's Pantry); Glacier Point Apron (the Goblet, the Grack - Center and Left); Sunnyside Bench (Jamcrack)
Possible multipitch: Regular Route at Sunnyside Bench.

Anyone got other favorite places to take beginners?

Munginella is a lot of fun too (Five Open Books) - with a 60m rope you can do it in two pitches, or split it into three. I've run up it with three newbies this season

Just outside the Valley, up 120 is Knob Hill (near Cascade Falls). Sloth Wall is a favorite of mine.

You can always join the crowds at Swan Slab. If you get there early enough, you can set up TRs before the mountaineering school.

There's also a bunch of stuff over at Swan Slab. There's a guidebook just for topropes by Chris Falkenstein. If you TR a route that's typically led, just be considerate of others who want to lead.

Manure Pile Buttress area has a number of 5.6-5.9 stuff (after six, after seven, Nutcracker with multiple variations on the first pitch)--Popular area of course.

Swan Slab is a good idea for Saturday, looks like there's a wide range of routes so we could work skills in the morning. Rob, thanks for the Knob Hill recommendation, hadn't climbed there before. Looks like a good transition into longer climbs but with features they'll be comfortable on.
