For stores located in Canada, it's not easy finding something, and even more difficult finding it at a good price but there is more then just MEC.

I've used all and had great experiences with all, BUT be warned, escaperoute.ca charges a HUGE amount for shipping. I tried to order some OR Stormtracker gloves from them recently for $85, the shipping was 76$ for the gloves which pack down to nothing and weigh nothing - havn't ordered from them since.

There are quite a few online retail stores that sell outdoor gear. Most of them are pretty good. If you take the time to shop, you can almost always find a sale somewhere.

Canadian buyers purchasing items from the US would get the best shipping cost using USPS International. Their broker fees are only $5. It's also much cheaper to have items shipped to a nearby hotel in the US if you're travelling there and then declare them on the way back.
