Never been to Maine, so I don't know what that's like, but I do know hikes in the area. If you're looking for a bit of boulder hopping, Duncan Knob in the Massanuttens would be the best bet that I can think of, although there is one or two in Catoctin Mountain Park/Cunningham Falls as well. For scrambling, the best around are Old Rag in SNP and Pole Steeple up at Pine Grove Furnace.
