Gawd! Glad my son and I did it last summer, on a superb Sierra day in August. Great experience, but, ridiculous to have a permit every day of the week. Anyone know, did they have a ranger at the bottom checking permits?

what a pile of crap. write your congress person and senator. i cant believe it we need a pemit to do a day walk. im going to try to be the first person to get a ticket for it and you will see me in the paper
