Google Maps are cool

Played most of my Sunday evening making the map of the Massif Central :

Since Google Map allows drawing areas by choosing the colour, and putting links inside, I must say they are pretty good for illustrating SP pages. Thinking about drawing such maps for all my areas ! :)

Very impressive! I've liked google maps/earth for a long time, but they just keep getting cooler and cooler. Hope in the future they have a topo map on google maps for every country rather than just the U.S.

For this very reason I've lost interest in image maps, in my web design class at school they have image maps as one of the lessons (although skip-able) which I think I'll stick with google maps. :)

Yes, exactly, image maps are unpractical in the way that you need to remake them as soon as you need to add something. Redrawing coordinates for each area is also pain in the ass..
Besides, the zooming and moving functionalities are another huge advantage.
