Climbing around Minaki?

by WICLIMBER » Wed Jun 01, 2011 12:20 am

Hey all,
I am heading up to Minaki next weekend for some fishing and relaxation and was wondering if there was any decent climbing to be had and if so are there any special rules/regs that I should abide by? is it a no-chalk area? What kind of gear should I take along? bouldering?

Thanks ahead of time for any help

Sorry if I'm a little late to chime in here, but did you find the a good place to climb around Minaki? The Gooseneck cliffs are a short drive from Minaki. The Manitoba section of the ACC has a guide on their website.

Too bad I haven't been on SP for a while (new baby). Hope you got to climb at Gooseneck. There are are number of fun and interesting routes. Hope you enjoyed the Canadian Shield. It's my second favorite Canadian landscape next to the Canadian Rockies.
