Appetizers and a no host bar will be available at 6:00 with dinner starting at 6:30 followed by the presentation. Dinner includes baguette, soup, salad, rice or potatoes, an entree choice, sherbert, and tea or coffee. Your choices for entree are Portabella Mushroom Risotto, Chicken Cordon Bleu, or Short Ribs Provencal. An evening with
Jim Donini

Jim is the author of a long history of cutting edge climbs around the world, especially in the Himalaya, Alaska and Patagonia. He is a past President of the AAC, from 2006 to 2009 and is a 1999 recipient of the AAC’s Robert and Miriam Underhill Award.
In recent years he spends the winters at his house in Patagonia where he continues to explore and climb new routes in the mountains around his home.

1978 North Ridge of Latok 1, Karakorum , Pakistan.
Visionary climb with Michael Kennedy, Jeff Lowe and George Lowe.
1991 Cobra Pillar, Mt. Barrille, Alaska with Jack Tackle.
1991 Viper Ridge, Mt. Foraker, Alaska with Jack Tackle.
2000 Lightning Spur, Thunder Mountain with John Bragg.

Thanks Tony for the heads-up on the AAC dinner. I hope to make it, but lately I’ve been jinx getting out of the OC on weekdays and up to the LA or San Gab area talks.
So far I’ve missed the Reel Rock Tour and Fossana Evo-T talk….dang!

BTW, here’s a cross-thread to ST where Donini offers some saga trad advice to us muddling muggles :)
