Some new photos wont post

by TyeDyeTwins » Mon Aug 27, 2012 7:39 am

I just tried to post up a bunch of pictures from my adventure today. Of interest most of the pictures I tried to put up were "posted" but 1 out of every 3 could not make it on here. The screen would just be the usual summitpost toolbar (Areas and Ranges, Mountains and Rocks, Routes, Images, Articles, Trip Reports, Gear, Other, ect.....) and the quote at the bottom........no new picture anywhere. Checked my recent pictures, and nope, they did not make it.

Is this just me that is having this problem? What can I do to fix it?

Thanks in advance for the help!

There is a size limit for uploads which is around 6MB methinks. Maybe yours were larger?

Sometimes I forget to open a picture file and get what you are describing here. That may not be what happened to you, but it doesn't hurt to check.

Damit....still not working. I swear I am doing what I normally do to upload a picture.

IF I need to change the size....how would one go about that?

Google Picasa is free and easy to use.

I use export mode all the time in Picasa. Makes resizing all my photos a breeze. :)

Irfanview works well for PCs, to resize and alter pictures in batch mode.

Having the same problem on several photos. Photos are compressed to 250-700 Kb. Some work, some don't.

Have you tried the bulk uploader? I know it's not a traditional method, but it might be a good work around the problem.
