Hey all,
Just wondering if anyone has information/experience in the Dali/Lijiang areas of Yunnan Province. I am heading there for 3 weeks to develop some multipitch trad and some sport lines with a friend of mine from Squamish who has been developing routes here in China for a few years (maybe a small amount of alpine involved?). I've already started doing some research of the climbing-related happenings in the area. There's some information out there for sure, but I wanted to see if any SPers have some words of wisdom in terms things such as: people to talk to, things to be aware of (interactions with locals, authorities, etc.), interesting places to explore, etc.
Any information would be very appreciated!
