We're headed out to WA for our first Cascades trip in mid June. (stoked!) I think Mount Adams is the perfect next step for us but my girlfriend does not have crampons or an axe. I thought I'd throw a post out to see if anyone had some gear they wanted to get rid of, I will pay of course. She is small at 5' 2" and 100 pounds and could probably get away with her micro spikes and poles but that is not in the spirit of the climb. If anyone has something shoot me an email or message. I don't have anything to sell, but in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle there is a great store (Second Ascent) that has all manner of used climbing gear as well as new stock. You could swing by on your trip or call them and see what they have. http://secondascent.com/

I have been looking elswhere but thought I'd put a post up here as another option. With the prices I've seen I think we will just go new. It's just that I'm not sure how much use she will get out of them.

To be honest, backcountry.com and rei.com both have outlet sites that are worth checking out.
