So, you are a member since 2003 and don't know who Bob is or what his feats are? I think that's heresy and reason for immediate account deletion :) :)

Now I do! Yes, please add my congratulations to Bob Burd.

There are many Bobs in the world. Last names help.

Good work Bob. Aside from the physical and mental toughness required to do so many peaks, I just can't imagine working out the logistics for such an undertaking. Your website is tremendously useful, although I find your car-to-car hike times wildly inaccurate, usually by a factor of 2x or more.

oh they are plenty accurate . . . for his pace! His pace is generally not our pace. But I have learned what factor to use to get to my pace, just like you have.

Bob-a-loo, it meant so much to be invited on the last three hikes of yours to finish the list (although I'm kinda glad I couldn't make Scylla...). You epitomize the ethic of "you just don't know what you might accomplish until you try." Because of that, I've been inspired to set some of my own goals higher, which is perhaps one of the grandest gifts one could bestow.

I looked across to Amphitheater Lake from Thunderbolt Pass this past weekend, pointed it and Observation Pass/Peak to my friend, Brent. All I could think was, "Cheez, that is really insane!"

Thanks for your inspiration, your encouragement, and your friendship. It was an honor to toast you last Thursday on Table Mountain.

Congratulations Bob on a staggering accomplishment.

oh and I have good news, now we mere mortals can manage 50 mile day hike approaches right along with the likes of Bob, Matthew and Rick with the DTV Shredder

Haha, imagine seeing some asshole on the PCT with that thing.

Even more funny is imagining it running out of gas on the back side of one of the passes, 20 miles from the trailhead.
