STOLEN GEAR - REWARD

by cmiller683 » Fri Jun 07, 2013 11:36 pm

On the evening of June 5, 2013 I had my climbing pack stolen from the bed of my pickup truck in Lakewood, CO, near Wadsworth and 285. The gear is as follows:

Kelty Coyote 80L Orange/Grey hiking backpack
Sterling 60m Blue/Grey 10.2 rope
Black Diamond Super Shute Orange Rope Bag
La Sportiva Muira 44 mens, Yellow/Black
Arc-teryx R300 Orange Harness
Approximately 20 Black Diamond Posiwire 12cm Blue/White Quickdraws
2 Black Diamond Posiwire Brown/White 18cm Quickdraws
Black Diamond ATC Device, Blue
2 Black Diamond Dynex Runners, Blue/White, 12in
Prana Brown/Tan/Green Chalk Bag
Liquid Chalk
Clear Creek Canyon Guide Book
Waterproof Med Kit
An assortment of carabiners, locking and non.

Any information regarding this theft is greatly appreciated. A report has been filed with the Lakewood Sheriffs Department, and I am willing to provide a reward for the recovery of my gear. Thanks!

So I have to ask. Why would you keep your gear in the back of an open pick up? Especially in the city.
A buddy had the SAME thing happen but instead of hiking gear, he lost $800 of climbing hardwear.
VERY sorry for your loss man, but seriously....

Cody,

Sorry about your loss. I feel our country is losing it 'moral compass'. Like ancient mariners who circumvented the globe using the stars, individuals today will never lose their way if they remain true to a morale compass. The satisfaction of doing right greatly outweighs the temporary thrill of stealing another person's things. "Always do right. This will gratify some people and astonish the rest." Mark Twain. Eventually, these evil doers become entangled in their web of deceit.

I had it inside the bed, beneath a tonneau cover with the tailgate closed. You just dont figure people go around opening your shit and rummaging around, especially in a POS truck.

Live and Learn I suppose. Some people just suck.
