Pika

Pika caught doing his scream on ascent of Redoubt Mountain, August 5, 2006, Skoki Region, Banff National Park. Actually he was eating grass and we were having a conversation....as I got my camera out, his wife came out of her hole and starting screaming bloody murder. An interesting observation, however not surprising, was that he was as fat as they come and she was quite skinny, putting me under the assumption she still had a litter. I contribute quite a few pika photos to folks that research these unique creatures.
