Playin' Solitaire with Time

"There are some good things to be said about walking. Not many, but some. Walking takes longer, for example, than any other known form of locomotion, except crawling. Thus it stretches time and prolongs life. Life is already too short to waste on speed. I have a friend who's always in a hurry; he never gets anywhere ..." - Edward Abbey Time moves slowly in the Sonoran desert west of Tucson, AZ. It's estimated that a saguaro can produce some 40 million seeds during its lifetime. Their life span can be up to 200 years. However, few will survive to become a seedling. Fewer still will become an adult. The low survival rate of seedlings is due to drought, prolonged freezing and animals eating them. November 10, 2010

Re: there is...

Thanks, Tomek!

I've found when it comes to living, haste
usually makes waste.

Please give "Yatsek" a hug if you see him!
