Gletsch

The Furka pass drops down to Gletsch from where the Grimsel pass climbs up. Gletsch is at the head of the Rhone Valley and where just 100 years ago the Rhonegletscher tumbled down a precipice and came to rest just meters away from this hamlet. Now the glacier is restricted to it's glacial bowl and diminishes every summer.
