Plumleaf azalea in Providence Canyon

The rare plumleaf azalea (Rhododendron prunifolium) is found only in southwestern Georgia and eastern Alabama. It blooms in Providence Canyon from mid to late summer.

misidentified

According to MRH's comments about photo 304229 in the Rhododenrons album, you made a mistake identifying this flower:

Shoot. My apologies for that. The person I was on the hike with was really knowledgable about plants. It is possible I put the name of the plant to the wrong picture.
