Pictures coming up now! Thanks Paul.

I liked your Jefferson Airplane comment but somehow nobody reacted. You failed to kill that thread though!

You want to play your intellectual jokes to the correct audience, though. There is no worse idea than to test such a joke on the village ruffian.

What made you think there were intellectuals around? This is SP, you're dealing with men and women of nature. And who the f.. is Dennis Miller? Intellectual? Go away!

Har, har, har

I agree. The 3rd Grade mentality on this site often misses the point.

I don't get Dennis Miller much of the time either. He specializes in the obscure reference kind of joke. Such is the case for "jefferson airplane." People know the band but don't know the origin of their name.

Actually I wanted to look that up but somehow I didn't find it. Neither my rock lex. nor Pete Frame's Rock Family Trees say anything about the origin of the name. Please clear that up for me. I could contribute who followed whom in their lineup for at least two decades. Not that I want to. But I could.

Mission incredible! Parts 1 - 3.

Thanks Bor. In order to stay in front of you I have to keep posting ;-) So far you're the fastest poster (points/ day) out there. So you're not allowed to complain!

Having fun is what all this is about!

well-done page in your usual quality. I tried to proof the statement about WW I in my book (Heinz von Lichem, Krieg in den Alpen Bd. 3) but I wasn't able to: In 1915 the austrians tried to conquer Porze summit but they failed while they succeeded at numerous other mountains including Pfannspitze, Cima Frugnoni and Peralba

I need to look it up myself - I found a short note saying that Porze was the only mountain which was taken by the Italians. There is no one here who could testify so I think I'll have to change the wording and make it more ambiguous.

Thanks (I like your signature pict, hehe)
