The upper col (2309m) of the pass named Priečne sedlo (2305m) allows hikers to get from the head of the Malá Studená Valley (Téryho Hut) to the head of the Veľká Studená Valley (Zbojnícka Hut). This stretch of the waymarked trail used to be one-way but now (year 2023) you can walk/scramble in either direction. The crossing is aided by lots of steel stuff. Apart from the waymarked trail (yellow marks) aided by old metal chains, the first Tatra via ferrata (rated A-B) was installed here in 2021. The ferrata is one-way: from Téryho Hut to Zbojnícka Hut.
